The second issue of Tongues draws readers deeper into the enigmatic, interconnected stories of a god imprisoned on a mountainside, an eagle -- his apparent jailor, and a young American wandering into trouble in the wilderness with a teddy bear. We move back in time to watch our young East African protagonist as she experiences violent and peculiar visions of her near future, and meet a handsome, malevolent young swan with dark appetites.
